MY HEART'S PRAYER

"Is there a thing beneath the sun
That strives with Thee my heart to share?
O tear it thence, and reign alone
The Lord of every motion there.
Then shall my heart from earth be free
When it has found repose in Thee!"

"YESTERDAY,
I BUNDLED UP MY PROBLEMS
WRAPPED THEM
TIED THEM WITH TWINE
AND HANDED THEM TO YOU, LORD!

THEN I TRIPPED
OVER THE STRING
I WAS STILL CLUTCHING.

TODAY,
YOU CAN SEE
THERE ARE NO STRINGS
ATTACHED!"

Lovely, Papa! I had been thinking of something similar recently for a poem, but wasn't quite sure how to put it into words...you fixed that problem for me :)ikevwh 723

I didn't write this as you can see from the quotes around them and have no idea who was the author or authors. I've had them for years and have always made them my prayer. I hope it will inspire you as it has inspired me.
