LIFE'S JOURNEY

The darkening clouds loom overhead
We see the sunset turn deep red
In silence we are left to wonder
Why we tread this earth to ponder
Life's mysterious, twisted road
With its hard, unyielding load.

Is it chance that rules our journey
With a heart bereft and lonely?
Does earth's music sound discordant
As we travel through each moment?
Or is hope our only refuge
From life's threatening, stormy deluge?

Then a voice like distant thunder
Speaks above man's hopeless blunder
With an offer that's transforming
That will change our night to morning
For the path God leads to glory
Is the victor's promised story.

Hello Mr. Pent!!

Thanks for the comment you left on my blog......I'm glad to hear that you won't mind my crazy-ness!! I think that spunk is one of God's greatest gifts to His children--and I try to use mine to my utmost! (Although, I think that the people I'm closest to might sometimes think that I need to simmer down a bit....) *GRIN* Alas!

Only 4 more days--and I CAN NOT wait! Tomorrow is my first Bright Lights meeting and I'm really looking forward to it. There is one young lady that can't make it--but that's alright. She'll be there next time. :) I'm going to be talking about 'being strong for the Lord in your youth'. Before that though, I'll be introducing the curriculum and talking about what we'll be learning about throughout the year. God is so good--the way He has provided for all the needs of this Bible study is AMAZING! He is so wonderful!

Your poem was lovely. If we can learn to listen to the Lord and follow His bidding, life would be so much easier!

For His glory! ~Tessa

Thanks for the comment!

Let me have one big guess to your riddle.......48 hours,2880 minutes and 172800 seconds until we arrive in the UP of Michigan? Do I win my cup of Starbucks coffee?! Oh, I sure hope so!!!!!!

2 more days! Can't wait!

I win?! Really? Oooooo! Yippie! I'll be sure to land on the shore of Piatt Lake right quick if I have a whopping cup of coffee waiting for me with cream and sugar, two of each, ready and steaming in my hands while having some fellowship with fellow believers discussing our wonderful Lord! You betcha I'll land on that shore quickly! :) Yeppers, that's right up my ally. Sure is!

Heavens to betsy, I simply can't wait! It's a little after 9 in the evening......and that means tomorrow we'll be able to say "Guess what? Tomorrow we get to go up north!" Ah, I can't wait till daybreak! Busy we will be, but that's OK. Laundry, cleaning, packing, lists, food, shopping, many scattered thoughts. It's all great!

Need to go do some evening chores!

In Christ, Tessa

Mr. Pent! Mr. Pent! Guess what?!? Ooooo! I'm SOOOOOOO excited! Yippie! My dearest momsie and daddy-o decided that we shall leave at 1 o'clock AM! That's in just THREE hours!!!!!! The trailer is packed--bikes and all. The van is loaded with blankets, pillows, purses and bags......and a few excited kiddos were in there earlier too! Right now dad is on his way to go take a little shut-eye, momsie is sitting on the couch relaxing, Mackenna is outside getting fishing stuff ready, the girls and toddlers are watching a cowboy movie (my favorite!) and I'm typing to you! I called my grandparents about an hour ago to let them know that we're leaving earlier than planned--and talked to Bubbie. I think she was pretty excited to hear that we're going to be up there around 2 instead of 6ish! Yippie! Well, I'm off to go join the girls and their movie and to try to get Elisha to sleep. :)Then, after dad takes his catnap, I'll make coffee, fill my travel mug, and we'll be off! Praise the Lord for vacations, wonderful friends and family to go visit, and for being such a wonderful God!

Blessed dreams!

In Christ, Tessa
